Contextualized Partnership with Kairos University

Mosaic Christian College (MCC) has established a contextualized partnership with Kairos University, a globally recognized, accredited institution, to expand access to high-quality theological education. This partnership allows students from any state in the U.S. to register for programs through Kairos University’s accredited system, while MCC serves as a mentor-based learning resource provider.

How This Partnership Works

  1. Accreditation & Enrollment

    • Students enroll directly through Kairos University, which holds recognized accreditation.

    • This allows students from all 50 states to participate since they are officially enrolled under an accredited institution with full legal authorization to operate in all states.

  2. MCC’s Role in the Learning Process

    • MCC provides mentorship, course content, and learning resources to support students in their academic journey.

    • Faculty and mentors at MCC guide students through their coursework, ensuring a biblically faithful, academically rigorous, and practically relevant educational experience.

  3. State Authorization & Student Eligibility

    • Because students enroll through Kairos University, MCC is not required to obtain separate state-by-state authorization for these students.

    • This partnership ensures that students in any U.S. state or territory can access MCC’s theological education without restrictions related to state authorization.

Why This Matters for Some Prospective Students

  • Seamless Access: Students in states with strict religious exemption laws or distance education restrictions can still enroll without issues.

  • Accredited Pathway: Students earn their degrees through an accredited institution while benefiting from MCC’s specialized mentorship and theological training.

  • Flexible Learning: The partnership is designed to provide competency-based, mentor-guided education that aligns with each student’s unique calling.

STATES WHERE MOSAIC OPERATES

Mosaic Christian College Admissions Policy on State and International Enrollment

Legal Framework for Operation Across State Lines
Mosaic Christian College (MCC) is a 100% online Christian institution offering only religious, theological, and ministry-related degrees. MCC does not maintain a physical campus or instructional site in any U.S. state outside of its home state of Texas.

Under federal and state laws—including provisions of the First Amendment and relevant state statutes—religious institutions that offer exclusively religious degrees are often exempt from state licensure or not subject to authorization if they do not establish a physical presence within a given state.

Mosaic Christian College enrolls students in U.S. states where either (1) a statutory religious exemption exists for institutions offering exclusively religious degrees, or (2) no physical presence trigger exists requiring authorization. MCC does not enroll students in any state requiring formal authorization unless such authorization has been granted or confirmed in writing.

The following lists the statutes and administrative codes that support MCC's lawful operation across multiple states under either (1) a religious exemption or (2) no physical presence requirement.

Ongoing Compliance Policy
MCC conducts an annual review of all state authorization laws to ensure continued compliance with exemption requirements. As part of its compliance plan:

  • MCC monitors changes in state and federal regulations.

  • MCC updates this document and its admissions policies accordingly.

  • MCC consults legal counsel, when necessary, to determine the proper interpretation and application of state exemptions.

  • MCC does not enroll students in any state that requires specific approval unless or until such approval has been secured.

Disclaimer
This list does not imply or assert state approval. Rather, it reflects MCC’s lawful operation under specific exemptions and non-licensure provisions applicable to religious institutions without physical presence, based on publicly available state statutes and regulatory guidance.

Religious Exemption Compliance

MCC adheres to the individual religious exemption requirements in each state listed above. These exemptions allow faith-based institutions to offer biblically focused programs without needing state-level accreditation or higher education regulatory approval, provided they:

  1. Offer only religious degrees (e.g., Theology, Ministry, Christian Leadership).

  2. Operate as a nonprofit religious institution.

  3. Are recognized by a religious organization or governing body.

  4. Do not imply secular licensure or certification for professional fields outside of ministry or theology.

  5. Do not maintain physical presence in any state other than Texas.

As a faith-based educational institution, MCC does not offer degrees in secular fields such as business, law, medicine, or psychology unless taught exclusively through a biblical framework.

International Student Admissions

MCC welcomes international students and operates under the global recognition of religious accreditation. Our accreditation with the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges, and Universities (ASIC) provides international credibility, ensuring that students from various countries can enroll in our online programs while adhering to their own country’s religious education policies.

Because MCC is an online institution, international students do not require a U.S. student visa. Each student is responsible for verifying whether their home country recognizes religious degrees from a U.S.-based Christian college.

State Restrictions

Mosaic Christian College is unable to accept students from states that do not recognize a religious exemption for theological education or that have specific restrictions on religious colleges operating without state licensure. These states may require institutions to obtain additional approvals before offering degrees, even if those degrees are exclusively religious.

If you are a prospective student from a state not listed above, please contact our admissions office at mosaic.info@proton.me to determine eligibility or inquire about possible exemptions.

Statement of Religious Identity and Non-Discrimination
Mosaic Christian College is committed to biblical education and admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, and programs available. However, as a faith-based institution, we reserve the right to uphold biblical teachings in all aspects of education, including admissions and coursework.
